"Why hear from Galloway"

He has a lot to say.

Some time ago on another election
he was on a Bus
with GBnewsHD Live

You can learn a lot from him.

The BBC should interview him
not ban him.

If it goes wrong Cut the Interview

Sir Keir Starmer has insisted he took "decisive action" over comments made by Rochdale by-election candidate Azhar Ali about Israel and Jewish people.

Labour has been criticised for initially standing by Mr Ali after it emerged he claimed Israel had "allowed" the 7 October attacks by Hamas.

On Monday the party said it was withdrawing support for him after further remarks came to light.

The Labour leader said this was a "tough" but "necessary" decision.

Speaking on a visit to Wellingborough, Sir Keir said: "Further information came to light yesterday calling for decisive action, so I took decisive action.

"It is a huge thing to withdraw support for a Labour candidate during the course of a by-election."

He added: "But when I say the Labour Party has changed under my leadership I mean it."

----------------------------------------

Only after a public outcry, and they still haven't said what the candidate said to get the immediate action

"Only after a public outcry, and they still haven't said

Yes, he also was asked who do they vote for
now Ali is not a Labour man etc.

He said look at the candidates?

What does that mean?

I would Laugh if George Galloway
Won this Bi-Election.

Well it's always, immaterial of party only after an issue is made of things that action gets taken.
I consider within 48 hours pretty quick and decisive action.

I'm furious as a member of Labour that this candidate was ever selected.
Until anything comes to light, it's unlikely any action would be taken against anyone of any political Oart by the hierarchy of ALL political Parties .

I say again, at least many days, or even a week or weeks didn't pass like the way the Cons tried to protect and ride through, those with dubious financial dealings, bullying, breaking the ministerial code and even sexual predators.

What a mess for the MP Tony Lloyds seat after his death though .
Just ensure all candidates are now vetted and looked into before they become official candidates .

Labour had that waste of space too in Sheffield Hallam.
You have to learn from previous awful selection of a candidate.

it's obviously not just a problem with labour. Candidates across the board are dire and there seems to be zero vetting

Thumbs up Letter to the DT

SIR – The reason Azhar Ali felt able to suggest at a Labour Party meeting that
Israel was complicit in the October 7 pogrom was that he knew he had a
receptive audience for these anti-Semitic slurs.

The fact that no one present appears to have challenged him is deeply
troubling. If Sir Keir Starmer is serious about confronting anti-Semitism within
Labour, he should immediately suspend all party officials who were present, and
thoroughly investigate that branch.

If anti-Semitic attitudes are found to be rife, only mass expulsions will convince
the country that Sir Keir is fit to be prime minister.

Another problem is the accusations of anti-Semitism where it's not really anti-Semitism.
Or should be deemed as so.

It can be offensive and can be wrong to say some things and require rightful criticism and actions taken

However, I have no time or liking for PM Netanyahu of Israel.
I see him more as a danger to any kind of peaceful possibilities in the Middle East.

I think he's failing most Israeli citizens.

So I now equally cannot support his policies in this war against Hamas.
By the way he is executing it.
Way too many even children and babies have been slaughtered in this action by his orders of his government in Israel.

That view of mine is NOT in any way anti-Semitic.
No way, although there's some on here would likely fire that at me
As anti-Semitism is being used as to any criticism of.those in power in Israel too
Which is nonsense, sorry but it is.

I'm a firm believer in a Palestinian state being secured
Plus a firm believer and supporter of Israel to exist securely and in peace in the area too.

It's depressing there are terrorist organisations across the Middle East, which not only thteaten stability in the Middle East but in the wider World too.

Israel has had since it's creation, hostility from other Nations in the area.
That is shocking.
They have to be certain of their own security.
Despite having to fight many from all sides.

However it is not anti-Semitic to support the Palestinians too
They too should have the right to a secure independent Country too.

Really though, I said to my family once Netanyahu was back as PM in Israel.
I said watch now for more major conflict because I believe myself, rightly or wrongly he thrives on it.

He is now moving more and more away from the allies he has, namely the USA.
He is someone I could never trust at all.

The Israelis and Israel warrant far better than him as their leader.
However too, the Palestinians do need to help expose those of Hamas and help rid Palestine of Hamas.

I'm not anti Palestinian saying that.
I'm also not anti-Semitic criticising Netanyahu and his government's actions too.

it's certainly not antsemitic to question and denounce the loss of innocent life. It is antisemitic to speak violently against an entirety of people. The west is very careful to only call out Hamas for their actions, they should extend the same courtesy to the jewish people

Why would that be considered by you for me arista ?

A phrase I consider offensive being depicted as being shouted out by a man I find to be mostly grossly offensive.

Frankly I'm not impressed one bit that you've connected my name to that awful caption.

byelections are ideal for protest votes, so people can comfortably elect an idiot and then boot them out again in a few months time

As a Labour party member, I'd encourage voters to vote LibDem on Thursday.

Leave the candidates of an extreme nature out in the cold

Yes, I've heard that a lot. And lots More besides... But the one that sickened me most was:
"they let their lapse in security be known so Hamas would attack innocent Jews, giving them the excuse to go into Gaza". I paraphrase... But that was the gist.
