[Mr Jones, the former Labour MP for Hyndburn
who lost his seat in 2019 and is
seeking to stand again,
is alleged to have said that UK citizens
who volunteer to fight for the
Israeli Defence Forces
"should be locked up" and that
it was "illegal" for them to fight for Israel,
according to the website Guido Fawkes.]

British people who go and fight for foreign armies that are known for slaughtering civilians en masse should be jailed once they return home

Absolutely right to act quickly.
Well done to Starmer on this

HOWEVER, he and the Party need to look again very strongly at the constituency selection processes of interviewing, assessing and scrutinising candidates in the future..

All Parties have dubious candidates, how they're dealt with is the key.
A handful out of over 600, is hardly a disaster.
However it would be if they weren't dealt with.
They do need a stronger more intrusive process of selection though.

This is becoming farcical

No one really knows what anyone is going to say at a meeting until they say it.

Anyone at a meeting would obviously be asked what they heard and how it was said too.

if the meeting is full of an israel hating crowd, they will know what is likely to be said.

.... but was it, were you there

This guy Ali was liked by the Jewish community it seems.
He had never indicated anything other than respect .
Even Louise Ellman felt him worth supporting.
A lady I personally hold in the highest esteem.

It's right he's gone and it's right anyone else who holds any offensive or other, even anti-Semitic views .
I applaud Starmer on his investigation and rooting out anyone else

Now you won't credit Starmer with anything maybe, in fact It's surprising I am .

At least even with a fuss made, he's not like the Cons, who as I repeat tried to for at times weeks, protect dubious finance issue MPs, bullies, found to be too by investigation, breaking the ministerial code and even sexual predators.
The last one eventually the last straw which toppled the John's on led government'.

The hard-line Cons really are panicking now that their Party is in danger of being hammered.
Overlooking their own great errors and prejudices too..
While highlighting other Parties faults.

For crying out loud the Cons are trying to switch the blame for the post office scandal on Lib Dem Ed Davey
Who was only doing the bidding of the Cameron Con led coalition.
Appointed to the position by Cameron.

i don't know who was at the meeting, but it is a bit suspect that 3 people have called out for what they said at it. It obviously wasn't discussing street lighting or bin collections
