I have to agree with you here. I see few signs of mental illness, and think less desirable character traits seem too easily and unnecessarily interpreted as mental illness these days.
In reality, each and every one of us has good and bad character traits, and celebrities are no different to anyone else. My impression is that Ekin’s less desirable characteristics have probably emerged as the result of a parent who has over-indulged her as a child, possibly spoiling her, treating her like a princess and making her feel she is perfect in every way.
This can lead to adults who are self-centred, self-absorbed and entitled, who cannot cope with the reality that the whole world doesn’t view them in the way they have learnt to expect. They tend to see all their issues as being caused by something outside of themselves, rather than considering the possibility of them being caused by any faults within themselves.
It doesn’t make them bad people though, but just means their behaviour might be frustrating or less attractive to others.
