Default Newcastle : NDAs must be signed for residents on a new-build estate,

BBC News Text:
[The i leads with homeowners being
told they must sign
non-disclosures agreement
if they want to see details of their
rising service charges.
The legal contract would prevent
the residents on a new-build estate
in Newcastle from sharing the information.
A government spokesperson told
the paper the use of NDAs in these
instances was "completely inappropriate".]

It sounds very dystopian.

My friend is back looking for work he got sent a proposed contract, if he was to leave or get sacked he couldn’t work for a competitor for ten years

Another job had a list of six competitors he couldn’t work for for five years if was to leave or get sacked, he was in that job a year , got new contracts but was sacked based on the profits 18 months previously, so he got sacked for the time he was not with the company but they want to see you screwed by banning you from getting another job with a similar company

New-builds are pretty much all shyte, so I'm not surprised there are NDAs, to stop people from talking about the specific problems.

… very odd …this is just standard residential housing, then…?…saying that there would be an NDA feels very much the same as saying…this housing is rubbish and not up to regulations and standards or whatever and don’t buy me…because recommendations of a build is how a company would build itself, no pun intended…they would want good standard and workmanship to be screamed from the rooftop in a very non NDA way…so yeah, just put big stickers all over it saying…please do not buy because this is not a good build…
