[Michael has never visited Nigeria, and he’s long been fascinated by its story, cultures and significance within the African continent. Experiencing what life is like in this dynamic country, through the voices, opinions and experiences of Nigerians from all walks of life, he finds a place where optimism can rule in the face of adversity, where world history casts a shadow, and where the modern world and contemporary Africa’s dilemma of wealth and poverty are found side by side. For Michael, the so called ‘Giant of Africa’ is a story that reflects our contemporary world in so many ways, and his journey explores how Nigerians and their country face the many challenges of now, and the legacies of the past.] https://bfidatadigipres.github.io/tv...in-in-nigeria/ I am Recording this. |

Ugh, Nigeria. A country with so much richness and points of fascination but so misunderstood.

The Final Episode looks Great.
He is standing and an Angry Nigerian Lady gives him some words. "what are you doing here?" She shouts then points to a statue of British Army Leaders. This is why Michael Palin is great he shows the viewer all the edits Last edited by arista; 26-04-2024 at 03:23 PM. |

The roads are very dangerous at the minute. Not necessarily because of potholes and bad structure (although that doesn't help) but the risk of kidnapping along the way. You want to go to Abuja from Enugu, Awka, Port Harcourt or Lagos, you're best getting an intra-national flight. There's no guarantee you'll make it to Abuja in one piece by road at the moment. Risk of kidnapping is just too high.
