I've seen this on twitter. I often wondered if the stories they published were true or not. Some of them are of people who were already dead

Yeah to make it look legitimate - it sounds like he was keeping a pretty large slice of the donated money for himself.

There's nothing wrong with covering costs and taking a reasonable income if genuinely doing good (although I'd never personally donate to something not registered as a charity) BUT it sounds like he's been pocketing a bit more than a reasonable income.

I’ve never understood why charity shops are run by all volunteer staff yet they have area managers controlling 7 or 8 of them earning £80,000 pa
