Default Eminem's new album - The Death Of Slim Shady

Listened to it all today, will have to listen more. Not sure what songs i like yet, but i thought it was decent. He doesn't hold back either. Gen Z are pretty well hit, as is the current sensitive state. People will try and cancel him for some of the lyrics of course, but not like it will bother him.

I have the Marshall Mathers LP and it's my favorite album of his. And of course I love 8 Mile.

I was listening to his old stuff and that's brilliant as well. Love all the collaborations with Dr Dre.

Somebody Save Me had me in tears, so relatable. I was a literal wreck listening to that one a few times

Had a look at some of the reviews, knowing exactly what to expect tbh. His genius can't be denied, but it's "old" "irrelevant" "misguided" "ok but not original" "cheap" "maybe time to hang up the mic"

Nah, it's great, top 5 Em album for sure. It's akin to a modern day South Park episode imo. Just says out loud the ridiculous state of the modern world, while sympathising, and looking for a way forward wondering if there's a chance we can all just get along and see the humour in life. And looking for solidarity.

So many highlights in the album, listened 4 times all the way through now. Well worth it. And yeah the old Slim Shady really is back in this one, brilliant stuff!

Yeah agreed. Refreshing tbh. No need for him to tip toe around, he's mega rich, popular and gives 0 fcuks.

He even slagged off his kids on the Houdini video. I can't think anyone else who would do that and get away with it

Yep, obviously it was tongue in cheek, but still great humour. He's certainly one of a kind

I've listened to Houdini like 100 times since he dropped it

Unfortunately, the people that like how ridiculous the current world is will take issue with what Eminem is doing.

Someone with a massive platform claiming they are being cancelled, not a tired trope at all.

There's no denying that some people genuinely get offended at Eminem's lyrical content.

I mean with some of those people I am honestly amazed that they don't get scared of their own shadow.

Is it racist that the most successful hip-hop (rap) artist of all time is a White man?

It's a murky one imo.

Did Eminem find it easier to make it mainstream with white Music fans because he is white? My answer is yes.

However do some black Music fans that like Rap Music dismiss Eminem because he happens to be white? I would say yes.

Do I personally think that Eminem is one of the best Rappers? I would say yes.

The irony of the album is genius. He knew what he was doing. I feel above caring at this point. If you listen properly, you'll hear him say we need to work together.
