Default Brent Council grant planning permission for house

Not sure there was any doubt, but Brent Council has authorised the rebuild of the Big Brother house and garden at Garden Studios

Can't wait for the house pics! Hoping next year they move somewhere else, though, I'd love it to go to Bovingdon. Just imagine the crowd capacity

exactly! Bovingdon would've been much more like the Elstree BB set

I think they can barely get enough people to show up for the current capacity.

Can’t be that hard to rent a crowd to boo at any little thing, surely?

In fairness, I went to the launch and they were turning people away. I think those hardcore core fans (who aren't many in the grand scheme of things) are enough to pack out a crowd every week for 6 weeks.

…so the exact same framework of the house is being built in the exact same place as the demolished one…why demolish it…?…

I suppose it was cheaper than renting out the stage for 2 years solid when it was only being used for less than a year in total

…yeah, it seemed like such an odd and bizarre thing but you’re probably correct with that, Sawyer…you looking forward to the new season…?…

I am!! Desperately hoping for it to be a bit more raw but I doubt that will happen, it was very much an ITV show last year. How about you?

…yeah, the same really…I’m not sure that we will ever see that rawness in the same way because it’s just how reality shows have developed and I guess so much of that comes with storylines being more engineered and manipulated as opposed to organic with 24 hour life feed…even back in the day of those times, that raw quality was only really there for those who regularly watched live feed…I recall so many times, thinking…for anyone who only watched the highlight show…?…it would be like watching a completely different storyline unfold at times…but hmmmmm, somehow that all worked and gelled also…

I'm hoping they move to Bovingdon too, the current location feels a bit too limiting, also, Bovingdon is a bit more out of the way too rather than 10 metres from a public path lol

it's highly unlikely to happen but it's possible for them to build the Elstree house again in a different location, the planning permission is still available!

it's the planning permission of the old house, I'm sure Banijay UK have more regarding the build and all that in their archives.

The garden and eviction stage will be the same dimensions as last year.

But the stage behind is quite large. They can reconfigure the House interior to make it markedly different to last year.

…nothing stays the same and that’s a good thing because staying the same starts to date …a house has no soul until the housemates give that to them and that’s what makes it all proppa so shut uppa you face, you…
