[French film legend Alain Delon has died
'very early in the middle of the night',
aged 88, surrounded by his family and children.
The actor had been in poor health since
suffering a stroke in 2019,
rarely leaving his estate in Douchy,
in France's Val de Loire region.

Delon's legend was launched in 1960,
playing pretty boy killers and mysterious
schemers in 'Purple Noon' - later remade
as 'The Talented Mr Ripley' - and
Luchino Visconti's 'The Leopard'.]

…I read earlier that he had requested for his beloved dog to be put down and buried with him…the dog is 10years old, I think…but his family have over-ruled his request and one of them is going to care for the pet…

I loved him in “La Piscine”, a classic of French cinema and such a sexy Summer movie. Quintessentially 60’s and beautiful to look at, filmed in the sun-kissed and sparkling French Riviera. Recommend!
