So Karl and I went to Chester on the train today, to the Cathedral, there was a train exhibition hosted by Pete Waterman and the 'railnuts'. It was really good, although he was very busy and I didn't get the opportunity to speak to him
....

But wait.... when we went outside, he was suddenly there in the street on his own! I went over and said "hello, hello! It's absolutely amazing to meet you, oh my god, this is so brilliant, you're my hero, a lifelong hero of mine, I think you're amazing, we came for the exhibition"

He said, "oh thank you very much, I'm sorry I can't stop, I'm just getting some lunch". I let him go, though I was dying to get a photo with him. Karl thought it was hilarious, I was so starstruck!

I'm still really buzzing from it all. I love that man so much. He looks fantastic for 77.
