Summary:

Charli XCX, The Last Dinner Party and English Teacher are among the favourites to win this year's Mercury Music Prize, taking place at Abbey Road Studios.

Cat Burns, CMAT, Ghetts and Barry Can't Swim are also amongst the nominees.

The Mercury Music Prize has no categories and is open to all genres of music, the winners receive a prize of £25,000.
