[Mystic Mock]

I've only seen one episode of the Cartoon, but the material has got stuck in my mind, so I can't help but talk about it, especially after calming down and realizing that "it's only a kids show."

Now my issues with the writing was all over the place, even for a Kids Show because I try to think of my own taste when I was a kid, and I don't believe that I would've liked this garbage back then either.

And I will be learning the characters names on the fly, so please bare with me.

My personal flaws with the episode that I saw.

1. Apparently Dreamzzz is meant to have Comedy as one of it's genre tags, and I didn't detect a single joke, and I don't mean "I personally just didn't find the joke funny" I'm talking about there being no jokes whatsoever in the episode.

2. Mateo and Izzie had a scene where Mateo was worried about Jasmin leaving his Dad due to her possibly being bad news I think, and how his Dad would be "all alone" which I am probably making it sound better compared to how it's executed onscreen. Plus the tone is more like a CW programme rather than a Lego Show that's meant to be aimed at children.

3. The most offensive scene to me in the entire episode as it genuinely made me quite angry, and is the reason why I'm making this thread.

Basically Logan has made a song that appears to be quite popular within the local school at least, Zoey basically starts putting him down for it being "generic" and just basically ******** on him throughout the episode.

And instead of the Show having her apologize for being a horrible person and being unsupportive towards a friend (i.e good writing and character growth.) The Show instead decides to have her lecture Logan about her not really thinking that he is a "talentless hack, I just think you're not being yourself with your Music." Zoey then lectures further "good musicians have something to say. There's a good musician inside you. But you need to be yourself. Don't be afraid to be weird or different."

Now my personal issue with that dialogue is that Zoey is putting Logan down for having his own personality and style of Music, just to conform to someone that she approves of, i.e bad writing and bad messaging, plus making one of your main characters come across as incredibly smug, patronizing and thoroughly unlikable imo.

I know that it's only a kids Cartoon, but it was so bad that I still can't believe that any Channel or Streamer (wherever this Show originally airs it's episodes) accepted such an awful script.

What do you guys think? Do you think that I'm being harsh?
