just read in daily star that five new hunky lads are being put in to put back the sex factor they will enter on friday july 27 a month before the show ends and they are still eligible to win. what do u think the effect would be on other housemates?

I think they should put in a mixture of girls and boys in a house next door style twist but something more original then allow 3 or 4 into the main house. They still haven't replaced Jonathan yet.

Here's the story:

FIVE hunky new lads are being sent into the Big Brother house to bring the sex factor back to the TV show.

Bosses held a crisis meeting on how to win back its female army of viewers who have deserted the series this summer.

Girls - traditionally the programme’s target audience for viewing and voting - have been switching off in their droves and causing ratings to fall.

So, at a secret meeting on Friday, producers from Endemol plotted to get the show back on track by throwing in some new guys to spice things up.

A source said: "We need to get our female viewers back and so there is only one option open to us.

"Get more men in there."

TV chiefs had promised that Big Brother 8 would be bigger, better and sexier than ever before when it was launched at the end of May.

They were desperate for the series to be a hit after the controversial race row which dogged Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.

But the opening night twist of sending 11 women into the BB house and no fellas caused outrage among many girl fans.

Even the introduction of hunky Ziggy after two days and the arrival of gay new housemates Gerry Stergiopoulos and Seany O’Kane a week later failed to impress.

Women viewers complained that there was no eye candy for them to drool over.
And they said the constant bitchy rows and backstabbing - sparked by gobby Charley Uchea - and boring girlie chats about food and make up drove them nuts.

Even the Ziggy and Chanelle on-off-on-off romance is proving a snore for some.
As a result, fans have started switching off.

Viewing figures have dipped to below four million when last year average figures for BB were around the 4.5 - 5 million marker.

Even the Fake Week twist last week - sending in actress Thaila Zucchi - failed to re-ignite interest among the show’s usual female fan base.

This has sparked panic among the producers who know they need to act swiftly to stop this year’s show completely bombing.

On Friday they held a hush hush meeting at Elstree TV Studios in a bid to salvage the show and sex it up for the final weeks.

Execs have decided that the best way to bring the women viewers back on board is to send in five new hunks to spice up the house.

They are now in talks with a host of male models and gym fit guys to audition for the Channel 4 show and be sent in as latecomers.

Last week we revealed how BBC Castaway contestant Hassan Kobeissi, 24, had been in hush hush contact with bosses about joining.

We can also reveal that handsome Sam Bush, 19, from rival TV reality show Shipwrecked has also been in for a chat with producers.

They have another week to decide on which final five guys to send in.
And the chosen ones are due to enter the BB house on Friday July 27 - just a month before the show ends on August 31.

All five will be bona fide housemates and eligible to win the £100,000 prize money.

TV chiefs are hoping that their arival will give the show a lift both on the outside and also inside.

They want to drive women viewers back to the show to ogle the new men.
And they hope the BB girls - including the twins Sam and Amanda Marchant, Nicky Maxwell, Chanelle Hayes and Charley Uchea - will flirt with the guys.

Their entry will also unsettle the other men in the house - such as Liam McGough and Ziggy - who are bound to get jealous having the female attention taken away from them.

A source said: "It’s a win-win situation.

"New guys will hopefully atrract more women - and gay men - back to the show.
"And it will set the cat among the pigeons in the house.

"The guys won’t like having their thunder stolen by some new kids on the block."

The Daily Star Sunday is today claiming that five men are yo enter.

The front page says the headline ‘Bigger Bro’ with further information stating that five men are to join the show, and at the bottom, are 5 men.

take this with a pinch of salt.. because it is the daily star.. and its 80% lies.
