Just to be consistant, should they not have thrown Liam out forthwith for using the dreaded Q word in front of Gerry.
Context schmontext, it does not matter, he uttered the vile obscenity Why is he still there? Well going by the logic of some, that is the action that should have been taken. He was not even called to the diary room for a repremand. ![]() |

It would be a dream come true if he got kicked out.
I doubt though it would happen. The producers like who they want and they obviously didn't like Emily and like Liam. |

I can see your point, as why does racism take priority over homophobia, but I think the fact he was just enquiring about the Q word makes it less of a problem than when Emily aimed the N word towards someone; a very controversial subject nevertheless.

As far as I can tell , it wa'ent the word 'queer' that started a big issue back in January.

let's remember they said the 'n' word when they were talking as well.

There is a big difference between "Don't push me back you ni**er" and "Is the word 'queer' offensive?".

Words are words and we should be allowed to use them. It is ridiculous to say we cannot say certain words or that only certain people should be allowed to say them. What if I was called a name at school and someone said it to me unknowing? Should they be chucked out? Should a housemate be chucked out every time they offend anyone?! It's supposed to be a social experiment. These words are used everyday. Unless you want to wrap yourself in cotton wool, you're going to hear them. If it offends you to hear them on the show, then you don't have to watch- it warns you about the langauge before it starts. |

He's one of the best housemates this year. I don't want him to be evicted.

I find charleys bullying behaviour far more offensive than liam saying the Q word or even Emily using the N word. With the others it is words- used in a none aggressive context. With charley it is very aggressive and nasty towards certain housemates.
If the pc brigade want to ban all language that could offend anyone and throw to the dogs anyone that dares to use it, then they’d do pretty well starting with charley. The worst offender of them all in there… |

Directing the word '******' towards SOMEONE was the offence took.
Asking about a word whilst not directing it at a specific person as their master status is not offensive. Also, people saying "he should get thrown out, he's annoying" - surely thats up to the HM and public vote, not up to you. They shouldn't purposefully take offense at what he said SIMPLY because you think he is annoying. |

Emily shouldn't have been thrown out either. Context is important. BB just used her as its scapegoat. |

Personally I believe she shouldn't have been chucked out either, a warning would have sufficed - but even now I believe the Emily incident and the Liam "incident" were two VERY different things since one was directing it at someone and the other was simply asking a question.

I don’t see why racist or homophobic language should be prioritised any more than other offensive behaviours. Charley may hear the N word used derogatorily and the same with Gerry and the Q word but everyone is brought up differently. I could have been called a name all the time and that word could really offend me if someone called it me. Bullies will always use the things about us that are different to get to us and upset us. I don’t think we should favour anyone else’s offence over another. |

Shouting in someone face, ‘telling them like it is’ IS bullying. If someone were fat and I went up and told them how it is, that would not be a very nice thing to do. Sometimes you have to learn a bit of tact and know when to keep your mouth shut. |

Someone goes up to a disabled child on the street and starts calling them all the names under the sun about their condition, pushing them about etc. They're free to do that, because they're "telling it how it is"? There is a line, Charley occasionally steps over it. Edit: I wasn't saying Charley would do the example, I was just suggesting an extreme example of how the phrase 'telling it how it is' could be taken. |

How else was he supposed to go about asking the question without using that word? Completely ridiculous suggestion that he should be thrown out.

Yet the context of the word is not important, only the word itself, we are told. So surely she should have been kicked out instead of £ndemol and C4 hiding it by not broadcasting it ?. The word itself is so offensive regardless of context, apparently, that C4 cut all uses of and references to Guy Gibsons dog when they screend The Dam Busters on Saturday. So why don't they change the name of the show to "Charleys Brother" and quit with the pretence ? |

Now the charley fans will tell you none of that actually happened and that we should keep charley in because she is “entertainment”. She didn’t glass saskia in a club and she doesn’t start arguments, say nasty personal things to people, lie to stop people nominating her and shout very loudly and aggressively at people. As usual with her fanbase, any evidence showing she is a backstabbing bully is ignored, whilst any suggesting she is a funny and likable housemate is emphasized 100 fold. |
