For posting youtube videos into threads please?

I've been asked a couple of times and I've explained as best as I can in a convoluted way lol.

It would be useful, thank you anyone who can do this.

It is a bit more complicated than it used to be because YouTube use more than one format of video web address [url].

Go to the video on the YouTube website and copy the address (click on it once to highlight, and right-click - Copy)

The url will be in this format.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=kq6c5Si3vhE

Or select the Share button on the site or in the app and Copy / Copy Link, and it will be in this format.


https://youtu.be/kq6c5Si3vhE?si=GmE3ER4fhYTyjgPo

The 11 characters I have highlighted is what you need to paste between the [YT][/YT] tags on the forum post. ()

So [YT]kq6c5Si3vhE[/YT]

Becomes

Youtube video

(I can definitely make posting videos simpler).
