Default Twin, 28, dies in Thailand motorbike crash

Quote:

The family of a man who died in a motorbike accident in Thailand say he "lived a life ten times beyond his wildest imagination".

Corey Beavis, 28, from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, died on Saturday.

His twin brother Liam told BBC Wales they had spent every possible second of their 28 years together.

He said he was glad he got to share "every single good memory I have in life with my brother, my best friend and my number one partner in crime".

"[He] lived life to the fullest and I'm glad we did it together," Liam said.

"I will struggle to find a way to deal with this pain for the rest of my life, but I promise I will make you really proud.

"Rest easy big man, see you on the other side. From the womb to the world.

"Now I'll take him on my journey whilst he's watching over me, absolutely smashing it for him like he'd want me to. This has changed me forever."

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said it was supporting the family of a British man who has died in Thailand and are in contact with the authorities in Thailand.

Corey's family are now raising money to try and bring his body back to the UK and say he did not have travel or life insurance.

A fundraising page has raised more than £6,000 in less than 24 hours.

Corey's family wrote on the page that he was "adored by a large family and friends with hundreds from all corners of the world".

They said that he "lit up any room he walked into, with his larger than life character and his infectious laugh".

"He had so much left to give this world, but also lived a life 10 times beyond his wildest imagination. He was a real genuine person with nothing but love for the people around him.

"As a family we've suffered immeasurable loss, and now have to face the realities of repatriation and laying our beautiful boy to rest - having not had travel and life insurance policies in place, the significant costs surrounding this are unimaginable".

I feel sorry for his parents. So irresponsible having no travel insurance so not only have they got to deal with his death but now trying to get his body home.

…very, very tragic and as you’ve said, Ben…for the parents to have to deal with the loss of their son plus to have to bring his body back with no insurance and the huge costs that will be…I can’t imagine the financial weight of that…I hope their fundraising page brings much of the help they’ll need…
