US Secretary of State Marco Rubio
stated that HAMAS can no longer continue in power? [US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has fully endorsed Israel’s war aims in the Gaza Strip, saying Hamas “must be eradicated” and throwing the future of the shaky ceasefire into further doubt.] How are they going to change who is in Power? They Won the Election all those years ago? https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/...ceasefire-deal Last edited by arista; 16-02-2025 at 08:33 PM. |

They can't remove them from power without occupying the country, they could potentially assist another faction in over-throwing as an option, we all know really they mean just wiping 'em out so that they cannot be in power because they don't exist.
Short-term though what they most likely mean is simply not acknowledging Hamas as a legitimate political entity/government, which any country is free to do with any other country, it's purely a diplomatic choice. |

it's for the palestinian people to decide ..... same as with any other political movement around the world. Trump threatening to move everyone out of palestine will only have grown their support
