Obviously I recommend people make up their own minds instead of just taking my word as gospel on any of these categories. Which I have confidence with everyone on here to be able to do that anyway.

And I do appreciate that the people that have created these things for us all to enjoy have worked very hard and deserve some respect, even when I've personally not liked the product that's been made in any of these industries.

My Japanese Anime rankings were largely all over the place, and tbh I didn't complete most of the Animes that I watched out of the last 25 that I've watched.

It kind of went like this for me.

1st-4th Were all Animes that I really enjoyed for the most part, and all for very different reasons to each other as well which I do like as I've gotten older.

5th Place I have a huge soft spot for, it actually kind of has that Merlin, Sky One's Sinbad, or BBC's Atlantis feel to it, and I liked all three of them Shows back in the day.

6th Place Is an Anime that I'm taking very casually because even though I do enjoy it to a degree, it is still ultimately hard for me to binge watch a Kids Anime.

7th Place I had mixed feelings on tbh, I do like Clannad from this writer a lot though, it's just unfortunate that I started this list a few months after watching Clannad.

8th-12th Place were all a bit average for me tbh, although I did like 8th place's villainess.

13th-17th Place weren't terrible imo, but were extremely flat to watch.

18th Place had a cool concept, but the really tiny budget killed the execution of it imo.

19th-21st Place were just really dull Animes I thought, like watching Keir Starmer versus Rishi Sunak General Election type of boring.

22nd-24th Place were like a mixture of boring, irritating to watch, and badly written imo, although I know that a lot of people will disagree with me on 22nd Place and 24th Place.

And 25th Place was just abhorrent viewing, incredibly unfunny and just disgusting to watch for my taste.

And before I do my list, I do just want to say that I will also be doing a Western Animation League and Kids Cartoons League on this thread as well, because I obviously don't want to clog poor TIBB up with a bunch of different Animation threads.

And if anyone else wants to do their own lists then go for it imo, it'll be fun.

And here's my list.

I've finally got an update for anyone that's interested.

Tbh I've only really enjoyed one Anime in this update, to the point where it is my number one Anime on this list once I update it.

The others all ranged between average, bad, abysmal, and just genuinely hard to stomach watching, at least for my personal taste.


In order of my personal preference.

The bottom 7 of my list are an abomination imo, you would have to pay me a lot of money to sit through any of them again.

Samurai 7 is a really underrated Anime though imo, it is unique, has appropriate pacing for what it's going for, and I did like all of the characters to varying degrees.

Easily the best watch from my new entries imo.

And I do think that it nicks the win overall, due to it's overall consistency versus Phantom.
