Us taxpayers pay 145 pound per room per night to privately ran hotels. The contracts are pre signed and bonded. In the contract the hotel gets 145 per night for each room. Occupied or unoccupied. 100s of such establishments have many many empty rooms.


Perhaps we could move some homeless into them for the time being, before the summer influx arrives. At least then our tax money is actually spent on a useful purpose, and not drained away by private businesses and musky smelling, long standing empty rooms.

No surprises there this is a money making racquet by people who really dont care for the outcomes of the asylum seekers, it suits them to let them languish for years in hotel rooms, the hotels are paid for by the taxpayer, the party in power gets a nice donation ....if they truly cared a jot they would start processing ..
