Due to the Labour Party,
[UK inflation rate jumps to 3.5% in April as higher household bills kick in] It was at 2:6% ![]() Rachel stated the jump to 3.5% is "clearly disappointing". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c3d445jl5g8t Last edited by arista; 21-05-2025 at 07:20 AM. |

Predicted last year this was.
Plus water costs have risen in April too The energy rise was forecast even by that guy Martin Lewis as far back as June last year. Energy costs will fall in July so inflation will be heading downwards again. Probably to rise again at the end of the year because the regulator will likely approve another rise in the cap for the Winter months. They do need to keep a closer eye on it though as the UK doesn't need at all the inflation rate heading to double figures, as it hit around 3 years ago in 2022 under the Conservative government. |

Operative word being some, NOT all.
However they more than likely will I'd say. Last edited by joeysteele; 21-05-2025 at 02:57 PM. |
