i'm somehow hoping for a somewhat older actor as the Red Ranger, alongside a group of teens


i similarly liked that whole chemistry as well in Dino Thunder, with Tommy Oliver as the Black Dino Thunder Ranger as well as a mentor for the other rangers, or in Cosmic Fury with Billy Cranston's comeback



in terms of storyline i kinda hope for similar-ish plot twists like we had in Dino Fury

i also am hopeful, knowing the people who were behind Percy Jackson & Olympians are behind this project, they delivered a fabulous job there (am looking forward to season 2 of Percy)

i do hope they kinda hear my prayers, and give us a slightly older Red Ranger for once


one older guy as the leader, and then the rest of them like normal a bunch of teen students



and honestly, i see a great casting choice as the red ranger in a Manu Bennett for example, i mean it would also be a nice new career venture for him to become more known at a younger audience group, and in terms of slay fight scenes, he done many of those as ''Deathstroke'' in Arrow for example + it depends on the character of course but would be nice to work his maori roots into it and there have been quite some new zealander actors before in this franchise too

i think it is good everything is original in this upcoming series, and i kinda trust the production team, same ones who are behind Percy Jackson and the Olympians


do think the only thing they need to stick with is the different colours for each ranger, but everything else can be refreshed yes


i could deffo see there be an older guy among the rangers, some military veteran or something (who has encountered one of the monsters in his past) that could resonate well with the core PR fandom, someone on the same level of badass as Tommy Oliver but then with a more original backstory, and someone who immediately starts off as a father of two kids for example, reluctant but necessary to protect his kids to go out there fighting again


something like that i can deffo see happen but that's just a theory from me, to break the chain of young teenagers becoming rangers cliché

cast announcements are due either next month then, or revealed in January as filming begins

first of all, don't be silly

and secondly, i don't think they'll have A-Listers among the cast, but i wouldn't rule out a few acting names among the mix with experience


idk why but i can really see Arnold Vosloo as a nice pick for one of the villains, same goes for Shivaani Ghai



one of the ranger actors, i can see in, is Zack Morris (former eastenders, goosebumps star), and maybe Lana Condor



if i have to speculate and name some actor possibilities

lol you mean the upper class a lister celebs will not be selected

and the celebs that would be in the disney verison of power rangers will most likely be from the middle class a lister celebs and or at least upper class b lister celebs

I think that my suggestion would make for a very interesting version of Power Rangers.

yes but we want a more serious effort at the reboot tbh


i think Arnold Vosloo could have potential for a villain with slightly similarities to one of the better PR villains, Master Org, but then also something very authentic still, but with same-ish character traits, maybe that one character concept i myself had thought of ''Lord Draconarius''


Shivaani Ghai as the ''Lady Venoma'' casting, as a sort of powerful sorceress who is the master of the monster graveyard
