Default Royal Mail cancels "Saturday 2nd Class" Post

[Deliveries will also alternate on weekdays to
reflect changing behaviour of users

but critics say regulator has let the courier off the hook]

So some will pay 87p for 2nd class
But it will now take longer to get there.

[The price of a second-class stamp
in the UK is increasing to 87p,
according to Citizens Advice.
However, Royal Mail is also reducing
the delivery frequency for second-class mail,
meaning it will now take longer to arrive.
Specifically, Ofcom has approved Royal Mail's plan
to deliver second-class letters on alternate weekdays
instead of six days a week.
This means some second-class letters will
be delivered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday,
while others will be delivered on Tuesday
and Thursday, in a two-week cycle.
First-class mail will still be delivered
six days a week.]
