i watched this last night, very lovely documentary also lovely words from other directors like James Cameron, Guillermo Del Toro, Steven Soderbergh, J.J Abrams also Peter Benchley's wife Wendy, and daughter Tracey who say something as well as Robert Shaw's son Ian Shaw apparently there were only 8 actors in this film, and the rest were all locals from Martha's Vineyard which was the location for Amity Island ![]() |

Not my favourite Spielberg movie. A bit overrated, probably due to it being iconic as the first of the huge blockbuster era movies.
The fact they made terrible sequels of it, dampens it even further. Another film from the same year is a far better watch. "One Flew over the cuckoo's nest" |

this one, and then Deep Blue Sea are my favourite shark movies, but Deep Blue Sea is more fiction in terms of genetically manipulated sharks, whose sequels were less of quality but still enjoyable to watch something like the Sharknado franchise though is mostly fun because of it being tongue in cheek, and because of all the many (A-Lister) cameo's the 2 Headed, 3 Headed and 5 Headed Shark Attack films are good fun for the low budget genre, which is basically what The Asylum's signature is for Syfy channel, to come up with parodies of popular blockbuster films |
