Default Why BBUK is still such a success

When you look at other international Big Brother's they are gradually declining in ratings and one of the few that is still going strong is BBUK.

I think compared to other Big Brother's it has a diversity in characters like the older woman (Carole) and other unique characters wheras the other versions have gone down the straight, good looking 20 something group of housemates.

My parents always get into it as well (although there is a bit of moaning before it starts ) because of the diversity. I'm sure if my parents watched the Australian one, which is aimed at teens only, they would be bored to tears and wouldn't like it.

Why do you think BBUK has continued to be such a success?

i think its because in the UK it is edited very well - like one of the international one (cant remember which) had to much sexual intercourse on so it got took off - now here they wouldnt show all of channelle and ziggy, michelle and stuart, jade and PJ.

Plus i think her even though they argue and swear and all the rest of it we go in for the fame and to see what we can get out of it example - shabnam so we are very aware of cameras and so on.

Hope this makes some sort of sense as im just going on with myself

The reason why BBUK is sucha success I think is the controversy. If we didnt have any scandals like the Race Row or the Housemates going back in, BBUK would be half as good. People watch it too see what they are going to do next, in my opinion.

The biggest and most obvious reason : The tabloids love it.

Its just another show in other countries , over here its a yearly pop-cultural phenomenon the tabloids push to the moon and drool all over.

I think the structure of it is good. Interviews, best bits, Davina all make great viewing on a Friday night.

The media love it, and the producers never run out of ideas.
