Default Riot Women - BBC iplayer…

…I’ve only watched one episode of this so far but it just has that totally excellent series vibe already…it’s a superb female cast……Rosalie Craig, Joanna Scanlan, Amelia Bulmore, Tamsin Greig Lorraine Ashbourne ….although there are some great comedy lines, it’s covering some very emotional and heartbreaking and relatable storylines as well/and from the creators of Happy Valley…

And you thought The Clash were angry... Five women, one last chance RiotWomen coming this October to #iPlayer in the UK and @BRItboxtv in the US

From Sally Wainwright, the creator, writer and director of Happy Valley... A teacher, a police officer, a pub landlady, a midwife, and a shoplifting freeloader: five menopausal women form a punk rock band to take part in a local talent contest, and suddenly find they have a lot more to shout about than they ever imagined. As they become closer, the teacher, Beth, and freeloader, Kitty, discover a surprising, heartbreaking connection.
