it says ''failed to install'' on the windows update screen, however make sure to type Winver in the search bar and check for what your current version of windows is, which build

26200.7171 is the latest one, the build which belongs to that November 2025 security update KB5068861



more annoying is, i can't check for updates anymore with that failed to install message irritating me, but then again, by the time of December's patch tuesday/wednesday i can enable automatically search for latest updates




i also noticed it is likely installed, even though it says it didn't, from my SSD/C, which went from 164GB to 160GB, and 4GB is about normal for a patch update



also when i shut my computer off, it doesn't even say ''updates in progress'' and when i try clicking on try installing again it just says ''there are no planned updates for your device found''
