[Two ballistic missiles were fired towards
Diego Garcia, a base in the Indian Ocean
jointly operated by the US and the UK,
on Friday night.

Sources reported that one of the missiles failed in flight,
while the other was intercepted by a US warship
in what is believed to be the first
ever strike on the military base.]

That's a message with an agenda behind it. Iran doesn't have that capability yet, there is no evidence of it yet. They didn't reach Diego Garcia, they fell short and their point of origin was not made public

who have not said at what point it was shot down.

Israel and the USA will give out false information to try and alarm populations and force governments to get involved in the war. It's the oldest playbook there is and the quickest route to WW3

I don't really care what Iran says at this point.

Edit: Oh it's our side claiming that. Sorry I can barely keep up with the news right now. I thought it was Iran saying this based on conversationa about this I was seeing elsewhere.

We have already said we could wrap up at anytime as there is a lot of extra things to do. We already know our own administration will actuallu leave whenever it decides to so this is pointless for political reasons. I would not be surprised, however, if Israel wants to extend things beyond the original scope as they encounter more shiney objects to deal with.
