Quand il pleut, il pleut
|
…this is very good, I started to watch it yesterday and the acting and storyline are excellent…so far a very enjoyable watch…
…It follows a struggling British Pakistani actor as he auditions for the role of James Bond amid public backlash and family relationships. Told with incredible verve, Riz Ahmed’s flashy Amazon series Bait satirizes the long-held idea of a non-white Bond by expanding the conversation outward, and filtering it through culturally-specific notions of family ties and expectations. It begins with a simple premise, but flies quickly off the rails in service of some of the most volatile, self-reflexive comedy-drama you’re likely to stream this year.

…I finished binging this, it’s a quick 6 episode series…the storyline was very different to anything I’ve watched recently and quite quirky in parts…but I found all of the quirks entertaining ones and I liked it a lot…
