This might be a bit contraversial, but its just how I feel, and I also know, a lot of people feel the same! A large group of people like Charley because they find her entertaining in an otherwise boring house. Those are not quite my reasons.
I am Black, so when I watch BB, I am naturally drawn to the Black Hms. Just because when it starts there is usually 1 or 2 of them.This season there was only Charley, so straight away I was behind her. What most people will find weird is for some Charley fans, she can do no wrong. One of the reasons is because she is the most hated housemate. Some words used to describe her are so uncalled for, as well as certain threats and bad wishes on her, and that just makes me support her even more. Lets face it we are in the UK, a predominantly white society, and prejudices still are very strong. So when Charley does something not so nice, I just say "oh god Charley, why did you do that?", and then carry on supporting her. Sometimes I cringe, and I am so happy when she shows a nice side of her character. But most of the time when she does that, people dont acknowledge it, they just say she is acting. Well she is human, and as bad as she can be, she can also be very sweet. For some of us, it's a bit like having a brother or sister in the house. You frown on the bad things she does, but you carry on loving her. I am not saying for a minute that all Black people support charley, because some of them actually dont like at all, they think she gives us a bad name. But I am just trying to make people understand why some of us would defend her no matter what. I am sure a lot of you Fm's would understand after they read this, if they didnt know that already. Maybe that will shed some light!

Charley is the entertainment in that house, fair enough she's said and done things she shouldn't have but she knows it was wrong. I think people should stop giving her such a hard time she's not the only person whos ever bitched and been nasty to someone in the house

I agree with most of the things you've said, Charleystar. I didn't watch last nights highlights show, and what I've heared about it doesn't bring Charley in a good light.. but I'm not passing judgement until I've watched it myself. Having said that I like happy, fun Charley much more than I like argumentative, nasty Charley.

I do like Charley also, but mainly because she seems to be the only one that brings emotions out of people, good or bad! I hope she stays a while longer, but I am not holding my breath!

I like Charley, she makes everyone talk on this forum. I just hope she tones it down just a little bit. Her new hobby of knitting is good for her I think!
