SADDLE UP - HOUSEMATES PLACE THEIR BIGGEST BET YET
This week, Big Brother is putting the seven remaining housemates in the saddle as they learn equestrian skills. In order to be successful in the task, they will all need to learn how to ‘tack up’ a horse by correctly positioning all the pieces of the bridle and the saddle. In addition, they will all be given their own dummy horse, on which to complete a course of show-jumping fences, which will be set in the house and garden. They will also be provided with full equestrian attire. On Wednesday they will be tested. As a group, they will have to correctly tack up the horse; and individually they will all have to complete the course of show-jumping fences. Both of these tests will have to be completed within a set time limit. The housemates’ shopping budget for next week is £61.50, based on £1.50 per person per day. They have decided to gamble 100% of the budget on passing the task. The following conditions will need to be followed over the next three days: Monday On Monday, each housemate will be given a dummy horse and items to dress it with. Housemates may dress the horse as they wish but, when completed, each horse should have the following: · A full coat of fur · A tail and mane · Eyes · Reins · A saddle Housemates should also name their horse. Tuesday Big Brother will set a course of show jumps in the house and garden. Housemates must all learn how to negotiate the course correctly whilst riding their dummy horse and wearing the equestrian clothing. The show jumps will then remain in the house and garden for them to practice until the task has been completed on Wednesday. For the test, they must all complete a round of the show jumping course. Big Brother will set the group a total time limit. Their rounds will be individually timed, and when all these rounds have been completed, Big Brother will add all the times together and include any time penalties incurred for faults. If the group’s total time exceeds the set limit, the task will be failed. During their round, housemates must be riding their dummy horse and must therefore canter in a similar fashion to a horse. They may not simply run round the course. Wednesday On Wednesday the group will be tested on the skills they have learnt throughout the task. In order to pass the task, housemates must complete the tacking up test within a set time limit. They must also complete the show jumping course within a set time limit. |
