Default Is Big Brother \'cursed\' this year?

This year hasn't been a good year for Big Brother, looking at certain ones around the world - each causing a different scandal.

Big Brother UK -
- Celebrity Big Brother Racism Row caused a global outrage, reported all over the world.

Big Brother USA -
- A housemate was heard making an anti-Semitic comment on live feed, some people found it offensive - the video has been seen 120,000 times on YouTube.

Big Brother Australia -
- When Emma's dad died, Big Brother kept it from her, which caused news coverage around the world, and massive debates over whether she should be told.

What do you think? I'm sure something 'racist' was said on BB AUS, but I couldn't remember so if anyone knows, feel free to post it. Do you think Big Brother is cursed this year? Or is cursed the wrong word? Is it down to the housemate selections?

You forgot the incident between the Philippines and Slovenia. During a swap between these 2 countries, 2 slovenian housemates said about the housemate from Philippines "we he comes to the jacuzzi, the water turns on cocoa". One housemates has been expulsed and the other one nominated for eviction.

It's not cursed. I just think it's because Big Brother is in the media spotlight more since CBB5 and things which would have been left unnoticed before are scrutinised. I'm sure these sorts of situations happened before but are just made a big deal of now.

That is so harsh!

That's really bad. They do deserve ejection/expulsion for that. They can't say things like that just because they're locked up away from the world.

I hate the way the producers try to control things and use editing to sway the public, and twists to their advantage. This is what it has declined into, and BB8 is starkly different show to BB1. This is why I don't vote any more. I feel the HM's and the public are manipulated more now.

My understanding is that it was her father's dying wish for her not to be told, so that it would not ruin her experience, which is why she was not told.

Nothing happened in France and I doubt in Africa they will be racist.
