Default Brian interview and webchat [Wednesday Aug 15th]

Webchat with Brian Dowling on Wednesday here - http://virgingames.com/bingo/celebchat.aspx

Interview...

3pm: Brian Dowling chats to Available for Panto

Jolly Irish air steward Brian Dowling shot to fame when he appeared on a second series of Big Brother. He managed to become a clear favourite from almost the very beginning, and won the show with 61% of the final vote (runner up was the ditzy yet lovable Helen).

How has his life changed since then? Available for Panto had the chance to pose a few questions to him earlier this week.

You can do the same on Wednesday night as he tackles questions in a live Virgin Bingo webchat.

Who does he want to win this series? Would he take the oppurtunity to present Big Brother? Will he fall for our Nigerian-style bank detail scam? Find out after the jump...

Available for Panto: What three things can you not leave the house without?

Brain Dowling: My mobile phone, iPod and wallet.

AFP: Have you been watching any of the current series of Big Brother? Who is your favourite contestant?

B Have been watching it on and off, not really loving this series. I'd like Liam or Brian to win.

AFP: Will you still be presenting “The Mint” when it returns later this year? What do you make off all the mess surrounding phone-in shows at the moment?

B If it does come back and they ask me of course i would present it.I try and not get involved in the drama surrounding the show.

AFP: Culturally, do you feel that is was important that you, as a gay man, won BB?

B Winning the show as a gay man was an amazing thing and proved that people aren't narrow minded.

AFP: Would you go on “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here”?

B It's a show I'd love to do but would find it hard as I hate snakes and rats.

AFP: When you were an air steward did you ever catch anyone attempting to join the mile-high club?

B Loads of times. We'd always find underwear in the toilet.

AFP: Have you met Adee Phelan from “The Salon”, and is he as much of a nightmare as he seems?

B Have met him a few times and he's always been nice to me.

AFP: You were voted the no.1 Big Brother housemate in the first 5 years of the show. What do you think you had over all the other contestants?

B I have no idea but was thrilled to be voted No.1.

AFP: The “news” section on your website has not been updated since 2004. Could you sort it out please?

B No!

AFP: The “news” section on your website has not been updated since 2004. Could you sort it out please?

B No!

Update - BrianDowling.biz have got in touch with us to point out that the official site HAS been updated, and you can see all the latest news regarding Brian Dowling right here. We apologise for the error -- ever since this year's Brian hopped out of the pool swinging his bits everywhere, all the writers here on Available For Panto have had their eyes almost fully closed, much like those of a new born kitten -- hence us not noticing the latest news section. Oops.

AFP: If you were asked to replace Davina as the host of Big Brother, would you consider doing it? Or are you keen to ensure your career progresses away from Big Brother?

B Of course I'd host it and I'll always be known as the guy who won Big Brother.

AFP: Have you been to any good festivals this year?

B Afraid not.

AFP: Shag, marry or murder: Johnny Depp, Rob Lowe, Vernon Kay.

B I'd shag Rob Lowe, marry Vernon Kay, and murder Johnny Depp.

AFP: Who do you bank with? Also, what’s your mother’s maiden name? Also, what was your first pet called? Also, what’s your date of birth?

B I bank with a very chic bank, and please leave my mum out of this. My first pet was Snowy. Oh, and I'm 21.

AFP: Are you currently in a relationship, or are you putting it about a bit?

B Am currently very single and not at all a slut.

AFP: Please would you be able to obtain Kat Shoob’s phone number and address for us, for research purposes?

B As Kat is a very good friend I'll send on your "regards". Oh, and good luck with the research.

Brian's humor isn't the same in writing.
