As with my former section, the office of the Cyber Devils Advocate General, the usual policy of the Office of the Cyber Guardians is to look after the best interests of a housemate only, but not to campaign for them to win. It may be the case sometimes that winning is not in their best interest or their early exit is in their best interest, such cases were Shebaz (BB7), Tania (BB4) and Sophie (BB3)

It came to the attention of this office that a certain proprietor of a men's magazine, possibly Playboy, but it is not confirmed which publication it is, is aiming to do a less than ethical shoot of them.

With apologies to a certain north American bird, the vultures are circling. Jonathan before he left after the death of his grandmother hinted that the twins were marketable.

To be dragged down by such low life is definitely not in their interests. If they come out in any other position than first, they will be at the mercy of such and the gutter press. If they come out first, they will have £50K each, so they will not have to deal with those shady elements of the media, plus, as winners they become bankable to Channel 4, who, we hope will be duty bound to protect them from such elements

The only way to keep the twins safe, from those unsavoury elements in the media, who have revealed their despicable intentions, is to get the twins to the safety of the winner's circle.

For the first time in the history of this office, the Office of the Cyber Guardians feels obliged to support a client to win.

The office also recognise this will not be easy as we still have a mountain to climb.

Brian is also considered to be vulnerable to exploitation, but the expectation is that he will be protected by Liam and his circle, who are more media aware.

Repeat, the only way to save the twins from the vultures in the media is for the twins to get the top spot.

When the finger points to two [lovely and kind and understanding housemates], who just happen to be TWINS, I will be glad to see them win Big Brother 8 - There is a lot of support for them and regardless of any theories on fixes or anything else, their behavior overall is joyful and pleasant. They should win and I hope they do win. But at t.i.b.b. We all differ on opinions on who is/perhaps going to win? So critisism is naturally evident to each and every one

Statement from the Office of the Cyber Guardian

It has come to our attention that an earlier statement concerning reported predatory intentions of an editor of a certain top shelf magazine towards Amanda and Sam Marchant, was taken to impugn the reputations and character of the Marchant Twins.

This office sincerely regrets ever giving that impression even if it was done inadvertently and affirms that they have been beyond reproach in their conduct in the house and have behaved with the utmost honour, purity and integrity. The fact they have not been nominated bears this out. It was never our intention to cast negative aspersions on these individuals who have been in the care of Cyber Guardian Sticks, and if this did occur we can only express our sincerest apology.

It must be pointed out that in the industry in which some of these top shelf magazines operate, some elements can be extremely aggressive in their pursuit of their quarry and obtaining their objectives. Intelligence reported to this office indicated that the twins were to be targeted and it was assessed that there was a serious threat that the twins could be manoeuvred into complying with the aims of this unnamed individual, which would ultimately be to their detriment.

In light of the intelligence we received, has for the first time in the history of this office, forced us to suspend the official policy of neutrality with regarding support for any individual to win a reality TV programme. Because of this threat we are now campaigning for Amanda and Sam to win big Brother 2007, as we believe that this will go a long way to prevent the actions of this individual and their top shelf magazine to compromise two contestants who have not brought harm to anyone.

At this point I am not in a position to add anything to this official statement.

I did have visions of the editor threatening to do that, telling them, they would still be dragged through the mud, but would not get paid - if they did not comply.

Brian and Liam are not under this threat, the twins now are, according to a thread that appeared for a while on the Channel 4 forum. (Now deleted by overzealous mods!!!)

They need to be got into the relative safety of the winners enclosure.

If Claire drops by, sorry for inadvertently casting aspersions. The head of the department was not best pleased with me and for the first time ever I got a reprimand, hence the official statement.

I am still very concerned about the character destroying effects of twinny look alikes appearing in the top shelf and attic based magazines that I am prepared to offer my inspection services free of charge as long as is needed'

However not being the tallest person around I do require an assistant who's shoulders I can stand in order to reach the top shelves....

I have asked the newsagents sales personal for assistance but they fear that if they leave the till it may get stolen by those wishing to aquire large amounts of cash to spend on voting other housemates a winner in order to deny the twins their deserving crown of glory.....
