The Rolling Stones were much better than The Beatles anyway. The Stones are one of the greatest bands of all time, along with Led Zeppelin.
Although I like George Harrison's stuff. |

The Stones and the Beatles appealed to totally different sections of the population and that's what was good about the 60s. There were so many differering bands to choose from and from what my parents tell me the Stones were for the more rebellious teens (and older) and the Beatles, when not high on drugs, appealed to the majority.
I treasure my dad's Beatle collection including the Sgt. Pepper complete kit with cut outs and gimmickry. |
