Default heres a surprise- marsh/ryder split

they blame marshs workload(well it aint gonna be ryders is it?)

shes had 2 top 10 bhits and shes got abig idea about herself.

in a year her songs wont even be top 100- then will it be worth throwing your marriage away for??

ive no idea why people ever choose their career/fame over their loved ones

Well, it really is pathetic isn't it ?

If they have decided to end a marriage after just a few months of "turbulence" then surely they cannot have been taking the concept of marriage seriously at all.

It is meant to be a life-long commitment - not something to be taken lightly.

Whilst one accepts that many marriages end after some irreconcible differences that build up over a considerable period of time, this separation so soon seems to point to two people who haven't got a clue about marriage.

Obviously they haven't thought it through at all. This isn't how it's supposed to be.

Sorry this may sound very cynical, but Kym has got what she wanted out of the marriage. She was in a state when she met Jack who at that stage was a well known, well paid actor with an image. She attached herself to him (OK I'll admit she fell in love), but I'm sure his high profile was an attraction.

Now Jack is out of work, she has a record contract and the boot is on the other foot. He needs her support and it seems she is cutting and running. All marriages have ups and downs but they seem to be giving up easily. Perhaps they got married too early (8 months or so wasnt it). Still good luck to the best of them and I hope they find happiness. Its her kids I feel sorry for they have been put through the mill.

BB, I may be the world's greatest cynic, but my thoughts exactly.

In fact I'll go one further.I remember when she was chosen for Popstars saying 'she is a huge mistake'. OK she can sing, but she has trouble written all over her.

I think Jack Ryder was happened upon, and singled out for his celebrity couple status. He has slipped into obscurity, Kym's record is out, so now she has a double chance to move on (she'll probably be the Patsy Kensit of singers) to someone with a higher profile AND get the ensuing publicity of the tragedy of their split up.

The other alternative is that she and Jack have agreed to do this to bump up publicity anyway, and may get back together (more publicity, more OK shoots)

Either way, we're talking about her again.
I know women deserve the same chances as men, but the way she seemed to put her children on hold for her career didn't sit well with me.

OK, got that off my chest, feel better for it!

I know which couple I prefer......

OK- well these aren't MY thoughts, but they are from that great encyclopaedia of showbiz gossip, 'Popbitch'

'Poor child-groom Jack Ryder. The out-of-work actor is said to be depressed and getting fat after "amicably" separating from wife Kym Marsh.

Kym, meanwhile, has been getting "amicable" with Charlie from Busted and a technician from one of her video shoots, who is bragging about his
conquest around London.'
