Hello TiBB!

I'm a BBUK fan from the USA and I've followed the series from its inception in 2000...however I was wondering...why such disdain for Carole now?

When I watched the beginning of the show months ago...she was the crowd favorite? Has she turned everyone against her because she is very motherly or are there other reasons I don't get because I don't see everything?

I think its because Carole has been very manipulative and nasty, and is so controlling

She has taken her motherly role over the edge. She lost her spark months and months ago, I think she lost it after she was nominated for the second time. She is also very bitchy and and since Charley left has been in a lot of arguments with the rest of the house. Also, she cried all the time.

She isn't the fun, bubbly Carole she was when she entered.

Ah indeed. It is very funny how everyone's opinions change...ya know? Carole was loved the first night...Sam/Amanda weren't really...now its completely switched!!

The twins were loved the first night by many people and to be honest i disliked Carole from the minute i saw her audition tape.

Yeah they were booed and they only really became popular 3-4 weeks ago Amanda was always though near the top in the odds but they wernt loved at first.

I think another reason could be because most of the viewing public are of the younger generation and probably tend to like the younger housemates more...

I liked carole at the beginning she was a lot of fun but since she took control of the kitchen and started moaning and being annoying that ive gone off her more and more

I think Carole was liked in the beginning (Never by me though) because she was older and I think people admire older people being game enough for a show like BB.

I think she was liked partly due to the PC (Political correctness) mentality that plagues this country....

Not the correct thing to critisise an older person. Have respect for an older person and all that jargon. Instead of liking or disliking because of the personality. Age worked in her favour for awhile.

However she is very controlling and manipulative. It became quite clear she was trying to drive Chanelle into quitting which sadly Chanelle did. Carole is a kill joy only wanting fun when it suits her........I am an older person and I cannot stand her hypocritical personality. Never have from day one.
But then I don't believe in PC......

it is i think but i have never thought about what they see in there how do they express their emotions to a camera like that

I must be one of the few who was not sure about Carole from the start so I'm happy that I was right about her!

I think I allowed myself to be lulled into liking her for a short while in the middle of the series but am glad I've sorted my brain out now.

Hey, on her audition tape she came across as a fun bubbly girl but when she got into the house she just got all snappy and so annoying. So I’ve never really liked her.

I believe in most of her beliefs though
