Default Braxton Hicks???

I was just wondering if anyone, who has had a baby obviously, has experienced these?

I had them the other day for 2 hours and I found them very traumatic

This might be wrong of me to do but Rachel had them on FRIENDS, and she went to the doctors with the problem as she wasn't sure what was happening at first and the doctor said that there was nothing to worry about at all.

The impression I get is that every woman/pregnancy experiences Braxton Hicks differently.

Methods for ceasing Braxton Hicks contractions include: changing position; taking a warm bath or shower; drinking water; resting; or changing activities

Thanks for the input.

It wasnt nice but seem to go away when I got out of the car a walked around.

I knew I wasnt in labour as there wasnt any breaks between contractions.

I have heard that they can be brought on by stress too.....

I just researched it and they sound really painful. I hope you're ok now.

Apparently dehydration makes them worse?

An alternative name for them is "False Labour"
I'm not sure whether you want the technical description of what exactly they are but hopefully the alternative name will give some idea.

No problem. Lmao, sorry to hear that.

I read they help the body for birth. Is that a good thing?

I escaped those when I was pregnant, although I did have a C-section at 34 weeks so that could be part of it. I think that if I'd been nearer to full-term then I might have had a few of them.

How far along are you now Kiz?

I'm 30 weeks gone now Nicola..... I think they must be stress related as I get them when I get stressed so the connection must be there.

I am rather concerened that she might come early...eeeeekkk
