Carole lost mum & dad in months
BB’s mother figure Carole tragically lost her parents within months of each other when she was in her 20s, The Sun can reveal. Carole, 53, who has spent must of her adult life adopting and fostering kids, has kept her sad past a secret from the other housemates. Instead she prefers to spend her time selflessly looking after the BB contestants. Carole’s mum Doris Wordsley died from cancer. A few months later her dad George had a fatal heart attack as he napped. Both were in their 50s. Carole’s daughter Ebony, 27, claimed their premature deaths left a lasting mark on her mum. Ebony, who never knew her grandparents, said: “Grandad George just went for a quick sleep. When they went to wake him up for his supper they found he was dead. “After he and Doris went, mum lent heavily on her Auntie Barbara. “She was like a nan to me because my grandparents were both dead. My mum is still very close to her. She and her sister Mabel both watch Big Brother, and they are in their late 70s. They must be among the show’s oldest viewers. It’s absolutely hilarious!” Food-obsessed political protester Carole puts family life at the top of her agenda and enjoys a close relationship with a huge extended group of cousins and second cousins. She has spent a lot of her time in the house trying to cater for the food needs of the others. The East London youth worker adopted her son Ashley, 18, when he was a baby and says he is a proper brother to Ebony, her natural daughter. While they were growing up she fostered dozens of children who had been taken away from troubled families. June Cavanagh, 34, is one of the children Carole brought up. They are still very close and Carole treats June as her own daughter. Source: TheSun.co.uk Click here for source article |

Carole is a very needy woman herself.
I think she feels the need to rescue people and that makes her feel happy but it is not a real happiness because she is never content and needs to do more and more. I hope one day she will be able to talk with someone in a professional capacity and work through those demons as losing your parents so young and closely together will have a profound effect on you. I lost my parents closely together by the time I was 33 so I understand how it can affect you and hence why I say I do not think she has dealth with their deaths even now. |

That's a very sad story and to have lost both parents at such an early age does affect one.
I knew someone that lost both her parents in her middle teens. Her father was shot dead in front of her and then her mother died of cancer a year later. It really made a mess of her life at the time but somehow with the help of others she has managed to turn her life round and come through it all the best she could. |
