Jade still a BBig favourite

JADE Goody is still the second most popular Big Brother contestant EVER despite the fallout over this year’s race row.

A survey of 2,500 viewers reveals the loudmouth star has maintained her popularity despite her treatment of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty in the last series of Celebrity Big Brother.

BB2 winner and former air steward Brian Dowling held Jade off the top spot while third place went to ‘Nasty’ Nick Bateman, who was kicked off the first series amid cheating allegations.

Tourette’s sufferer and BB7 winner Pete Bennet made fourth place in the radiotimes.com poll, while super geek and Top Gear star Jon Tickle took fifth position.

Jade is a housemate in two Big Brother shows, the Celebrity and the Ordinary one, so I guess that has something to do with it?

I don't see Jade's appeal at all, even when you completely forget about the race row stuff. I only saw her in CBB5 and not BB3, but I've seen some clips on YouTube of it and also clips from Back To Reality, and everything I saw shows how rude, nasty, vindictive, immature, and annoying Jade can be, just like she was on CBB5.

But the topic title is in regards to how popular Jade is and not really her behavior which I saw on Celebrity Big Brother 5 too. I thought it was typical Big Brother personally. But the racial words that they picked on were the major difference between that show and others

Sadly I don't but I remember voting in it, although it was early on in the series. I believe they also had a poll for least fave housemate and I don't remember Jade being on it.

A quick search of the site and I can't find it. It had some other polls on there two that seemed to have some interesting results.

But from what you say the polls don't seem that reliable in any case since housemates were pre-chosen for the voters to vote on and there is no check that these people even watch the show. Academically the poll is rubbish.

I did a 'TiBB's Top 20 Houemates Ever!' a while ago, I'm planning on doing on with BB8 housemates next week after the series is over.

MOTORMOUTH Jade Goody has been voted one of the best Big Brother housemates EVER — despite being at the centre of the Shilpa Shetty race row.

Jade, 26, came second in the poll behind BB2 winner Brian Dowling, even though her bullying on Celebrity BB caused the show to be axed.

BB1’s Nasty Nick Bateman, 39, came third, yet amazingly there was no place for stunning BB3 champ Kate Lawler, 27, who just failed to make the list of the top five most popular contestants.

Former air steward Brian, 29, topped the radiotimes.com survey of 2,500 readers.

Other entrants in the top five were last year’s zany winner Pete Bennett, 25, and series four oddball Jon Tickle, 33.

Just ONE per cent divided the top three places.

It is thought that fans voted for Jade due to her charmingly dippy first appearance in Big Brother Three — rather than her disastrous stint on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.

The survey — which polled the most loved housemates, the greatest moments and the top romances — also revealed that little of the current series has captured the public’s imagination.

This year’s relationship between Ziggy and Chanelle was voted only the fourth best fling.

Ziggy, 26, even poked fun at Chanelle, 19, as he dressed up as her in BB’s movie task yesterday.

Viewers preferred Paul and Helen’s fling in the second series, along with Pete and Nikki’s romance last year.

The viewers’ five favourite moments didn’t include a single event from this year — with the winner being Nasty Nick being confronted by Craig and Darren.

Other top moments included model Alex hiding and singing along to That’s The Way (I Like It) in Big Brother Three.

Gobby Nikki’s “who is she?” tantrum in the Diary Room last year was also named a favourite BB moment.

Radio Times’ Big Brother expert Grace Dent said: “The eighth series has featured very low down in our poll — suggesting that audiences are less enthralled by the current housemates, preferring the antics of former characters.

“This is borne out by ratings, which seem to have dropped over the course of the series.”

I dont see what was entertaining about, she didn't say or do anything funny, or she is pure ugly looking fat pig, how does viewers mind work, and Pete i there is rediculous, it shows sympathy than the actual charisma.
