Almost every other week theres a european/asian/arabian person on american kids tv with a stupid name from a fictional country, who they portray to be pathetic. Two examples are found in Cody and Zack or whatever it's called in whitch the guy who's son is a prince who's told by the twins about the american way of life and prefers it (), the one with the chinese man beard gets caught in a hoover and he shouts in a stereotypical angry chinese man voice. Then I see in correy in the house, more or less the same thing with the european girl who sees america and wants to stay, much to her father's dismay () and last but not least, in 'That's so raven' there is the russian gymnast and the african guy who arranges a marriage for them with wierd traditions displayed at the ceremony and Raven basically making fun of their dancing by showing them "how americans get down" .

It is quite insulting and annoying. Basically teaching american kids that other countries are stupid and to be xenophobic of anything non-american.

I kinda agree, it might be because the UK has been highly sensitized to anything resembling racism that we might be looking into it a bit too much. but on the other hand it is quite racist and offensive really.

They're not purposefully xenophopbic (and MANY of them aren't).
I think because America is so big they have such a small and narrow World view.

Lol I wouldn't go as far as to say they are racist pigs , but they are being pretty up-themselves in doing this and it is so annoying as a brit to see and english person portayed to speak all proper and prim when there are about 800 different accents in each different region. Another example is in a programme called Even Stevens when an English princess came to stay with the stevens family and she had never tried this American thing called a 'Burger' . The storyline is always the same, someone foreign comes into the show from their country, they're parents dont like america and american way of life, the kids do a speech about how America is so good (rubbing the country's already huge ego) and then their parent ends up agreeing.

i totally agree with you! since i live in canada most of the shows are american so there brainwashing us too, which isnt good, american shows not just kid shows do this all the time, even with there friendly neihbour canada, the stupid ****** is always canadian and blah blah, im just really sick of it.
