Default Dupin\'s Big Brother 9: The House (edit: now including Bedroom! see first post!)

I am pretty much finished on the house, so here are the pictures.

I have not prepared the outside or the indoor corridor, but this is where you enter within the house - the house is very themed, and the "yellow" area has the door to the entrance corridor, the door to the bathroom, the glass wall of the bedroom, and a wall of light boxes, each with a housemates face on (in this design, I used BB8 housemates).

The "Wall Of Fame", as it is called, is directly by the door that leads to the bathroom. Most doors in the house have a protruding white frame halfway round for a unique effect.

The bedroom is accessed, and is clearly visible from the "yellow area", which is a fairly central feature to the house.

Across from the yellow area, is the dining area. The dining area's prominent colour is purple - the table has benches on three sides and sits 12 people. A huge glass wall seperates the dining area from the garden, and a door at the side joins the area to the Diary Room.

Almost everything is visible from the dining area.

The living area is opposite the dining area and across from the yellow area - the main colour of the living area is orange, the the whole area is very similarly styled to the rest of the house.

The sofas are similar to the sofas from BB5, as they are shaped in a circle. The circle is made up of two long sofas, and a smaller chair. Housemates must remain on the sofas during nominations, and so will have to face the people they just nominated. A toilet is accessible from the living area for during nominations.

As always, a plasma screen is a central part to the living room - in this case it is in the middle of the back wall. Below it, behind the sofas, is a long stretch of orange wood designed to be used as a coffee table, of sorts.

The living room is fairly secluded in relation to the rest of the house - as secluded as it gets. I have lowered the ceilings from previous pictures, which makes the house seem smaller.

The garden is a lot larger than the Big Brother 8 garden, with a "boardwalk" that goes 75% around the garden. In the centre is blank grass space that will be used for most tasks. The boardwalk includes the pool, "Happy House", and the smoking area.

The garden mostly incorperates dark yellows and tinted reds - there is a large window in between the garden and the kitchen, and beneath the window, is a small wooden, stage-like risen area, which will have a seating area (not shown), and will also be used in tasks.

The smoking area is at the back of the garden, at the end of the boardwalk. The smoking area is a very loud area, with white and red cushions protruding from the walls - there are two sofas, both waterproof, and it is the only area in the house where housemates are permitted to smoke. There is a garden toilet beside it.

The garden contains a lot of secrets - what secrets do you think it beholds?

The "Happy House" is the Loft/Nowhere/Caravan area of the series - it is located in the garden, along the boardwalk, between the smoking area and the pool. The outside walls are the same colour as the garden walls, and it is fairly small.

The "Happy House" is basically a large cushioned area - the cushion has a tacky pattern, but is incredibly soft and comfortable. It is at a height that needs stairs to be accessed, so when you enter, you instantly arrive at a few steps that bring you up to the cushioned area.

Two of the walls are pink, one is a reddy brown, and one is a yellowy colour. The colours clash, and could make the "Happy House" quite claustrophobic.

The "Happy House" can hold about three people lying down, or more, if they're sitting. It will most likely be used for private talks and bitching sessions. Big Brother can ban the use of the Happy House should housemates break rules.

The bedroom is located by the yellow area - there is a glass wall with double doors where housemates can access it from. For one of the first times, the bedroom is not connected to the bathroom. Continuing the big-bed-theme from Big Brother 8, there is one single bed, one five-man bed, and two four man beds, making room for 15 housemates at any time.

Whoever sleeps in the single bed on the first night will be the only housemate allowed to sleep in the bed for the whole series - if they leave the house, so does the single bed.

The house is made of two shades of blue and a creamy white - the colours are the colours of the bed, and the stripes on the floor. There is a long white raised streak on the floor that is a continuation of the yellow area.

The bedroom has a much smaller feel to it - the colours give it a claustrophobic feeling, and there is not as much free space. The bedroom is no longer the place of comfort is has been in previous years.

Due to the lack of space, there is a wardrobe this year - it is always accessible, although it - and whatever possesions housemates put in it - will become unaccessible should housemates break rules.

It isn't that big really, I'll think you'll see when you see the rest of the house (though compared to yours, it's a lot bigger) (:

I suppose. Maybe if you furnished the empty space it wouldn't look so big and bleak. I like it though.

I understand - there isn't a lot of empty space, except for in the entrance area, and the empty space there is will be used for setting up tasks and the like, as the dining table can't be removed (easily).

It's really good. It has a very Star Trek vibe to it.
