Default I made a slight difference in the world

This week I cam across a traffic light that seemed to be in a state of falling off. It been like that for a number of days. I was sure that the council would fix it and prevent the light unit falling into the road causing an RTA.

But no, it was being allowed to suffer.

So armed with my digital camera I photographed it and e-mailed the image with its serial number to a council contact I had been given.

When I got back from work they had fixed the main problem. The traffic light pole still has a lean, but then I discovered a number of other traffic lights are angled away from the perpendicular.

I am told that this is with in safe tollerances, but now I find myself looking at all the traffic lights I see to see if anymore are in distress.

It is nice to think I made a difference and prevented a worse castastrophe.
