Yea I know and that was my first thought, but its more about the agony the mother has suffered all her life and the fact that she still feels she needs to know and find the body before she dies. I'm sure Ian Brady wouldn't be able to show the police even if he wanted to, it was all too long ago, and as you say it will have changed

I thinkit can only be a positive thing to try and keep it in the news. People forget very quickly.

I was just actually thinking this yesterday; After days of continual coverage of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami, it seems to just stop all of a sudden. They must still be having a helluva time, but I realised I hadn't even spared them a thought since the news coverage stopped!

The news is a good way of keeping things in the public's minds

I find it hilarious how people still think that the parents did it. After all of the hysteria and controversy, I think they'd be glad for the publicity to start to simmer out if they had done it and they#d be relieved that the case was closed and they'd gotten away with it. By bringing it back into the media, asking the government to support them, asking for the files to be opened and put together again, surely no sane person would do that if they had done it themselves... it would be too risky. I just hope that this new support from the government will get the search into action again and give the poor girl a hope at being found.

The sheer logic of your post is sadly (yet predictably) way over the heads of some on this forum

So will the Met make Kate answer the 40 questions she refused to answer when put by the Portuguese Police?

What about the Cadaver dogs evidence?

What about the missing time between the report of the "alleged" abduction and when other independent witnesses last saw Madeline alive?

What about the Bible open on a suspicious verse?

The DNA evidence in the hire car that was used AFTER she was allegedly abducted?

What about the statistics that show that in four out of five cases like these, it turns out to be a close family member?

I would like to say more, but certain parties have proved skilful in manipulating the law to clamp down on free speech.

They know who they are

Thank god Sticks is back! Hoorah

Are you working on the case Sticks? What do you do for a living?

I am on the fence. The Mcann's could have done it but they might not have done it. I was so against that they didn't do it.. but mmm..

Gerry and Kate should be questioned again. INDIVIDUALLY. Whether it's 1 question or 100 questions. If they say "no comment" or refuse to answer anything then well.. they are obviously hiding something.

Why are people going on about Kate? Was it just her being interrogated? Gerry should too.

I wish they made a big documentary on the case. We don't know all the file information and I think the public deserve to know EVERYTHING. If we all know everything that went off the day Maddie disappeared we could get to the bottom of it!

So Sticks.. what is your theory? You thinking Kate accidently killed Maddie and the family hid the body? Maybe Gerry accidently killed her? Who knows!

Maybe one of the twins did.. and they are covering it up! lol

Sticks what were the dogs evidence? Also WHOS blood was it in the car?? Did we actually get any of these answers? :S

If you go through some of the older posts, as this thread has been open since 2007, you will see posts discussing the forensics and that discrepancies in the "official" version. of an alleged abduction.

I really would love to elaborate more but certain individuals took legal action against certain media outlets that voiced anything different from the "official" version and so I am forced to keep stum on legal grounds.

What is it that these individuals do not want being said?
