Default Ray and The King & I

Got this from Digital Spy forum. Was in the Sunday Express apparently at the weekend.

"Brynner role for a Bruv

"........Irish charmer Ray Shah has landed himself a rather impressive role in the musical The King And I.
The 24-year-old BB runner-up will use his shiny head to good effect when he takes the role immortalised on film by
Yul Brynner in the touring production that begins next year in Ireland.
"It's mad but it's great," exclaimed the gregarious Dubliner. "Yul was a pretty cool guy but, to be honest, I can't sing to save my life so we may have to do a bit of work on that. Luckily, the production isn't starting for a while so I've got time.
It is being staged by a Dublin touring company but at the moment I know very little, not even who I'll be starring with."

Meanwhile Shah, who has been living in London for 18 months, has been busy making sure he does not lose touch with any of his former inmates on the last Big Brother series............
....."Sure, Cameron's a great lad," he says. "I have got him and Scott ........ living with me at the moment and we have just returned from a trip to Australia to see the rugby. Everything is going well."

Perhaps former BB contestant 'Nasty' Nick Bateman could take a leaf out of the affable Irishman's book.
He's been seen regularly with another of Shah's former housemates, Justine Sellman, but it would seem that Bateman is keen not to commit to talk of a serious relationship.
"She doesn't live with me as such," he explained. "Let's just say that when she's down in London she stays at my place."
Such a charming fellow."

Interested to read that Scott and Cameron are both staying at Ray's place and they've had a trip to Oz recently.

I saw the same post on digital spy.

I dunno I just can't think of any reason why this would be true.
By his own admission Ray cannot sing, dance or act.
Er Ray in that case you are going to need a miracle matey, it's not like doing a panto, this is a serious musical.
If this is true it will pee of a lot of 'proper' actors who have been to RADA and the like.
It just seems a bit far fetched to me, however of it is true I do wish Ray well.

If this is true, and I have read it in several different places, it must really make 'proper actors' annoyed.

I know Jonny toured in Boogie Nights, but that revolved round singing which he did before going into Big Brother.

Holding a show together (and that is what this part would mean) is another thing entirely. Good luck to Ray, but he could quite easily regret it. The show will make it or fall on him.
