I have only seen BB in the UK, I assume that BB Australia is real cool - many at TIBB post about that

I've seen bbusa 8 which i loved everything about it, it was very good, and had a very good winner.

The only other version I've seen is BB US, and every series I've seen of it has been brilliant.

The format in America is very different to ours though, so you may like it or you might not really get into it. But I would definitely recommend watching a week's worth of episodes to get the gist of the show and decide whether you like it or not.

BBUSA is brilliant, the format is very different but it makes it a much more enjoyable and competitive show. I'd say start with BB2 that's where the new format was put into place and it has some great housemates, especially the Evil Doctor Will.
