It's just luck and talent. Hundreds of people apply for a part on a top class soap. Also, you won't have a chance of getting in without going to drama class for a few years.

First of all you need an agent.
Secondly you need to prepare yourself for a lot of rejection. It aint going to happen over night.
One of my best mates is an actress and she is still going to auditions and getting knocked back. She's been in a couple of adverts and teaches drama but is still holding out for her big break.
Only one in a million makes it big. Just keep that in mind.

Get an acting course, or lessons. Go to auditions will no expectations. Apply to some agents and hope for the best. Acting is somthing I would love to get into and I'm hoping maybe some point in the future. Good luck.

To get into acting?
can be awkward.

I'm a performing arts GCSE student myself, so I understand what you mean.
You should attend a theatre school, be good at drama, and keep your eyes out for auditions.
Chances are, someone with a talented background will be chosen over you, unless you're REALLY good.

I hope to do a BTec in Musical Theatre next year, so I'd be open for acting/TV.

If you actually enroll yourself in acting/drama school, or even take a drama based course..they'll soon provide you with any information you need to know =]

Im not sure how old you are however, but some people join at a very young age and may have much more experience.

They'll most likely recommend agents, where auditions are taking place etc and it'll enable you to get in contact with people and make as many friends as you can.

As ive been told, if you latch yourself onto someone higher up the chain than you, they'll drag you up with them. Then once you get higher, latch yourself onto someone even higher until you get to the position you want to be in.
