Default What\'s your best cure for toothache?

I have toothache at the minute, damn

Only mild but it bugs me awful. I know I could take an asprin or use some toothtincture, but sometimes in the past, even that ain't enough.

Does anyone have some great suggestions like, particular pain killing drugs available which you think are the best in your own situation or something else. I have also found that when I have toothache, that I will then go in the bathroom and clean my teeth real good, then dental floss like mad and after listerine them. Sometimes that can help - short-term.

Sharks don't have this problem. When a tooth comes out, another grows - none stop throughout it's life.

It must be the lack of underwater dentists

I had pretty bad toothache recently...I got to the point that id almost rather die than live with the pain anymore. Toothache is seriously underated in terms of intense pain if it's your wisdom teeth, as they're larger and more rooted into your nervous system.

Anyhow, one thing I did pick up was to grind down a pain killer [any paracetemol will do.] preferably by placing one in a bowl and bashing it with something =] maybe a wooden spoon.

Then wet your finger by licking it, and place your finger in the grinded painkiller and it'll stick to your finger.

Then place your finger in your mouth and rub it over the tooth/gum that is hurting. The saliva turns it into paste and it'll set into your tooth.

This even helped my wisdom tooth pain disappear for a short while, so a regular toothache/minor toothache might disappear for even longer. I thought painkillers had to be swallowed in order to take effect, but it seems rubbing them over a sore tooth takes the pain away too..and much quicker/better.

I totally agree with you in regards of the severity of pain that toothache can bring. I have a couple of wisdom teeth, hopefully I won't find out how painful it is but sometime in my life, I may do. Your suggestion sounds like a great idea and I shall certainly give it a go next time I find myself in agony.

Fortunately my toothache went from last night. I brushed them like mad and dental floss/listerine, the works. All seems okay now. It was one of my crowns that was hurting. That could mean that the stump underneath is decaying. Sugar can still find it's way through somehow? at least I think so.
