Rosie’s dangerous liaison
Mild-mannered Coronation Street mechanic Kevin Webster is about to see red – when he discovers teacher John Stape has been sleeping with his teenage daughter Rosie. In a sensational Christmas storyline, Kevin goes berserk and batters thirtysomething John unconscious. But he pays a heavy price for losing his cool and, after being tried at Weatherfield Crown Court in the New Year, he will be convicted of assault and jailed for four weeks.

In recent weeks, soap fans have watched Rosie and John become increasingly close – and it’s not long before the pair’s relationship erupts into a full-blown affair. It’s Rosie who does all the running, but when Kevin stumbles on their dirty little secret, he’s convinced his 16-year-old daughter has been taken advantage of.

“Rosie knows her mum has a bit of a crush on John and she likes the fact she’s been able to steal him. But when Kevin finds out he goes crazy – and absolutely leathers John,” a breathless Corrie insider told the Daily Star. “Stape is rushed to hospital and the police come and arrest Kevin. Rosie is completely devastated. Her bit of fun has ended up in tears with her dad banged up in jail.” Now that’s what we call kiss and hell…

'Coronation Street': Michelle Keegan confirms Tina's exit storyline

Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan has confirmed that Tina McIntyre will "definitely" be killed off.

Speaking on tonight's episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, the 26-year-old actress described tackling the difficult storyline as an "honour".

When asked by Ross if the door was being left open for her, Keegan replied: "She's getting killed.

"At first she wasn't, and then they came up with a really good storyline that involves a lot of characters on the street and it's going to be a big storyline next year. So, in a way, it's an honour and I'm very excited for it."

Keegan also hinted that the storyline would involve Tina being murdered, and that viewers would "probably" be able to guess her killer "in the New Year".

She also confirmed that she knew which character would be doing the deed, but that she's "not telling anyone".

'Coronation Street': Antony Cotton's mum lands role

Antony Cotton has revealed that his mother has landed a role in Coronation Street.

The actor - who plays Sean Tully in the ITV soap - tweeted the news that Enid Dunn has signed up for several episodes.

Cotton had previously teased the casting, writing: "Had the best day ever yesterday, for various reasons.

"One was Corrie related certainly, but I'm waiting to see if I can talk about it...."

Coronation Street: Michelle Collins films final Stella Price scenes

Stella's Coronation Street exit scenes will air in April, but show bosses have warned that her final storyline will be low-key.

Producer Stuart Blackburn said last month: "It's a very quiet exit because we've had so many big ones and there are massive ones coming up.

"It's an exit where she's trying to do the right thing by Leanne. There's a space and time where her exit might help Leanne. There's also a sense of Stella looking at Gloria and her lust for life. She's also looking at Eva who's with Jason. She thinks, 'I'm not dead yet - I'm only 50 and there's a whole world out there!'

"Hopefully it's genuine, moving, truthful and leaves the door open. But mostly Stella thinks if she goes, Leanne can get on with whatever she's getting on with - but what that is I'm not going to say!"

Coronation Street's Dennis Tanner has to make a final decision over where his future lies in tonight's episodes (February 21).

Dennis (Philip Lowrie) is alarmed when Gloria Price announces plans to leave Weatherfield for a new life abroad, realising that he doesn't want to lose her.

Gloria (Sue Johnston) is quick to suggest that Dennis could join her on her travels and claims that he'd be better off without his wife Rita suffocating him.

Coronation Street fans were shocked last week as Dennis Tanner made a sudden departure from Weatherfield, but it has since emerged that his story isn't yet over.

As Philip Lowrie's departure from the role of Dennis had already been announced, most fans assumed that this was the character's permanent exit - but an ITV spokesperson confirmed to Digital Spy today (February 26) that viewers haven't seen the last of him yet.

Stephanie Cole on Corrie exit: 'We've seen the last of Sylvia'

Former Coronation Street star Stephanie Cole has confirmed that she has no plans to return to her role as Sylvia Goodwin.

The actress left the ITV soap last summer after two years playing Roy Cropper's outspoken mother.

Appearing on ITV's Daybreak this morning (February 26), Cole was asked whether viewers have seen the last of Sylvia.
