Apologies in advance, but I am sure you will forgive me my 'flight' of pride as shown below.

Today really was the end of an era as I, OH and thousands of others watched as the last Concorde built Concorde 216 finally came home to Bristol and to Filton where it was built.

We stood in the rain, wind and hail storm and had a quick view as it passed over on its way to the Bay of Biscay and then the sun came out and the beautiful big white bird came into view once again this time at low level. It turned slowly and made its way towards the Bristol Suspension Bridge and then to its final landing. The cameras flashed and the videos were put into action and for a few moments we all stood in awe of this wonderful plane as it 'slowly' passed over our heads.

This really was as it should be seen not on a pontoon travelling up the river to News York.

Cant wait till it is available for public viewing in the special museum that is being built.

Concorde flew over our house today I'd forgotten that it was today that it was going to Filton and what a sight she was, such a shame she won't be in our skies any longer But, like you BusyBee, will be going to see concorde when the museum is built
