Matt Willis
Former Busted star Matt said he can’t wait to get stuck into his first presenting job with his girlfriend. He said: “I think it’s going to be really fun. Who else better to show me what to do, to teach me the ropes, than my missus? I’m really looking forward to it plus, it’s going to be a bit of a laugh really. It’s not like we’re two surgeons having to save somebody’s life, it’s not that stressful. It’s going to hopefully be just me and Emma having fun.” He said he’s also looking forward to returning to the jungle. He added: “Obviously it’s going to be a lot different than it was last time, I’ve got the comfort of a hotel, and I’m obviously kind of working. It’s a whole totally new concept for me being a TV presenter because I’ve never really done it before. I’m being thrown in the deep end with live TV but I’m really looking forward to it. “It’s a great show, it’s a great thing to be a part of. I got offered parts to do when I came out the jungle, I kind of got offered loads of TV work but there was no reason for me to do it. This one seemed the obvious choice for my first TV appearance since last year.” Matt said in an ideal world he hopes to see an A-Team star in the jungle this year, and he’d like to see him and all the other contestants eating the disgusting things that he had to eat last year. He said: “I’d like to see Mr T in there this year - that would make my day to see Mr T in the jungle. “I’d like to have to see everybody do my trial, my last trial. Everybody that goes on the show should have to do it to get in the jungle, that’s what I think. “You know how we had to bungee from helicopters last year? Everyone should have to eat a kangaroo’s bum hole before they can get in there, because it’ll take the attention off of me. “Suddenly it wouldn’t just be everyone talking to me about bum holes. “I was the quickest one to eat all the worms and bum holes and things, which is not a great achievement, but why sod around with it? You’ve got to get it done, just get it down your neck and then walk round the corner and chuck it back up. “A hairy bum hole, that’s still hairy, it still haunts me.” Matt said it took him a while to get used it when he was crowned King of the Jungle last year. He said: “When you first come out you notice it immensely. Before, I could spot a Busted fan walking down the street, you know, straight off a bat. I knew where not to go - you don’t go to a bowling alley on a Saturday night and things like that. “But suddenly people knew who I was, which I found really, really odd. I couldn’t walk into a restaurant without people coming up to me or go anywhere. It dies down after a little while, people start to forget about you, but at first it was quite intense so that was quite weird but it was amazing as everyone was really nice. “You go on these shows expecting criticism in some way. I worried about that kind of thing, expecting to get criticised and all that kind of stuff, but I kind of think that if you’re an idiot on the show then you come across as one but luckily I don’t think I’m an idiot.” |

Emma Griffiths
Ex-MTV presenter Emma Griffiths loves I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and can’t wait to get to the jungle and start presenting the ITV2 coverage with her fella. She said: “I was out in Australia last year waiting for Matt to come out and I love the show. I’m a reality addict so I watch all of them, so for me to work on a show like this is a dream come true. It’s the kind of show I’ve always wanted to work on and knowing it so well I think is only going to help and, you know, you get to go to Australia for five weeks. “Working with Matt will be great. He wants me to show him what to do, so I was joking it’ll be like when we’re at home when I teach him how to use the washing machine and the oven. “I think it’s going be really good fun. Matt’s got intimate knowledge of being in there and I think he’s the perfect candidate to host the show.” And she doesn’t think working together will affect the couple’s relationship. She said: “We don’t really have disputes, we’re quite chilled and we’re quite mellow. And if we’re just getting a bit ratty, you know, not with each other but in general we’ll be ratty at home and just go to bed at six o’clock, which is what we have to do anyway. We’ll be too busy to argue.” This year Emma would really like to see someone who enjoys the luxurious things in life in the jungle. She said: “Do you know who I’d like to see go in? They’d never ever ever go in, but just to kind of take her out of her comfort zone, Sylvester Stallone’s Mum. Do you remember when she was in Big Brother and she had her own special room and she had all her make up on all the time, do you know what I mean? Just throw her in the jungle.” And she’d like to see all the contestants doing the Celebrity Cyclone Bushtucker Trial again. She said: “Oh my God, I don’t think I’ve laughed as much. It was like ‘It’s A Knockout’ and my youth all over again. I would love to see that one again because that was one of my favourites and I know it’s not gross and stuff but for comedy value, you know, Myleene just got wiped out, not that it makes me laugh, in the context of the situation I thought it was brilliant, so I’d like to see that one done again I think.” |
